New Year = New Renovation!

Happy New Year!
This past week marked my 9 year anniversary running Decor by Christine! Yay Me!  And in my experience the new year = new renovation.  After the holidays many people determine that they need a new kitchen, dining room or living room after entertaining guests.  And one of the biggest inquiries I get in the new year is about renovating their kitchen.
Things to Consider or Think about Before Starting a Kitchen Renovation
In the latest issue of Canadian Home Trends Magazine (a national publication) — see cover below — the magazine features 25+ dream kitchen, dining rooms and bathroom ideas.
And in case you weren’t aware, I also write an interior design column in each issue of this magazine. For this issue I wrote about what to think about before beginning a kitchen renovation. Here it is as it appeared in the magazine.
A Kitchen Renovation Doesn’t have to be a Full Gut! If your kitchen has good bones already (ie: good quality cabinets) or you are thinking of moving in a few years than you may want to consider just cosmetic changes to update your kitchen. That could include painting out your cabinetry, new hardware or changing your backsplash. I happened to do all of this and more to update my kitchen without the full renovation budget. You can watch what I did to my kitchen in the attached video that was filmed for the Marc & Mandy Show. (The Marc and Mandy show is a nationally broadcast show and can be seen on City TV every Saturday across Canada.) I hope you found both the article and video helpful if you are considering a kitchen renovation or a facelift. And if you need design assistance with any home renovation you may have planned for 2018 contact me by clicking here and send me an email. I’d love to help! And one last thing, if you haven’t already, I would so appreciate it if you signed up for my new monthly newsletter…..thanks so much
Warmly,
