Decorate as You Dress! Mint Green Obsession!
Hi Everyone,
Lately I have been obsessed with mint green in both fashion and home decor. To the point where I just got my nails painted in this lovely hue!

I also started a board on Pinterest highlighting everything I love in fashion and home decor in Mint Green. You can follow my board here if you have an account.
In the meantime, here are some glorious images of this fresh colour to inspire you to add some mint green to your closet or home decor this spring!!
The current issue of House Beautiful is all about green!! Love that stunning chair!
The fashion runways for spring 2012 also showed a lot of mint green. However, this colour has been popular for many years now as seen in the gorgeous Haute Couture gown by Elie Saab from her spring 2010 collection. So there really is no need to be fearful of adding this colour into your closet or a few toss cushions!!
Now let’s look at some interior design highlighting mint green in all its glory!!

Gorgeous mint green walls!!
Room design by Nick Olsen
How about a mint green kitchen??
If that is too much for you, then how about some mint green pieces for the room: Like this vintage green fridge by SMEG! FUN!
A simple green chair can also make quite the impact!
I’m loving how fun this mint green vintage tub looks in this bathroom!
How about a quick DIY: Grab some mint green paint and freshen up your bookshelf for spring! (don’t you love how the shelves were styled also!)
I absolutely adore the look of this room. Imagine a sea-side cottage and you’ve got this gorgeous room. I love the mint green grass cloth wallpaper and accessories.
!!
Here’s a sneak peak into my family room. The wall colour is called Sea Haze / BM 2137-50 and depending on the light it can look like sea foam. I really love this colour by Benjamin Moore because it changes to so many colours throughout the day! Highly recommend it!!
And last but not least, I couldn’t resist including these vision boards I found on Pinterest – they basically say it all!! I love Mint Green!!
So are you obsessed with Mint Green now….I hope so, because you will be seeing a lot of it this spring!! Have a great day!!
Glamorously yours,
Christine xoxo
Interior designer Kelly Wearstler debuts Fall fashion line
I love blogging about how fashion influences interior design and decor….and if you have been on my website than you know one of my decor philosophies is the following:
“Decorate as you dress.” Buy great, timeless pieces that have longevity and accessorize with less expensive items! Make this your design motto and you will be successful.
So imagine my surprise and utter delight upon discovering that one of the most glamorous interior designers ever, Kelly Wearstler is launching her own clothing line – coming fall 2011!!
Here’s a sneak peak:

The clothes are much like Wearstler’s interiors: elaborate, colourful, playful and – of course – glamorous.
The collection will feature clothes, jewellery and accessories and will range in price from $200 to $1,300. Have a look. Her Fall 2011 ready to wear collection will be sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, according to WWD.

A total Glam Slam!!! Kelly has also started a new blog called My Vibe My Life. You should check it out if you are a fan of hers.
If your home is craving some Kelly glamour, then contact me online or in person! I’d love to help!
Glamorously yours,
Christine xo

Honeysuckle and the Golden Globe Awards
Did you watch the Golden Globe Awards show last night? Everywhere I looked yesterday was a sea of colour on the red carpet…..so nice not to see just basic ‘sometimes too-boring’ black. What got me really excited was all the gorgeous variations of the colour Honeysuckle – Pantone’s Colour of the year for 2011!
Let’s take a peak at some of the looks from the brightest to the lightest hues of honeysuckle!
Bold & bright!

Mixed in pattern!
To the palest of pinks!

So how can you interpret this colour into your home decor for spring? Well, if you absolutely love colour and you have a bold personality then why not try painting your walls in this gorgeous colour!
I think it looks very chic and glamorous – especially paired with glossy white or lucite furniture pieces! Oh la la!!!
(Furniture from Higher Ground)
If not the walls, than how about one statement piece like your sofa!!

If not the sofa, than how about a couple of occasional chairs in a bold floral pattern such as the ones above by Sarah Richardson or these ones below from Mercantonio Designs
Still no? All right, than how about some toss cushions for the sofa…could you handle this? I know I could!
Furniture from Van Gogh
I chose not to play fashion police in today’s blog…….and trust me it was very difficult to hold back on some catty remarks. Let’s just say none of the gowns above were my favourites……although I didn’t mind Claire Dane’s gown by Calvin Klein due to its simplicity.
However, my favourite gown of the night was hands down Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Privé….now that is pure glam. A GLAMSLAM!!!

LOVE: One of a Kind Christmas Show 2010
Last Friday I headed over to the One of a Kind Christmas show & sale at the Energy Centre in Toronto and fell in love! Ahhhh, but this love will never be monogamous…as I will always love more than ONE thing at this bi-annual show.
As I perused the aisles with fellow design blogger BFFs Vanessa and Lisa, my attention went straight to fashion and accessories….not for the home….but for me…and you. Here is what I fell in love with!!!
Ironically, LOVE was this year’s theme for the show:
I fell in love with this gorgeous red gown…perfect to wear for a Christmas Day dinner and than recycle it for a Valentine’s Day bash. (dress from Diane Kroe)
And I soooo love a statement piece like this stunning belt on this LBD….it’s jewellery and function all-in-one amazing piece!! (Belt from Belle Boutique)
Over at Annie 50 I found this adorable dress. What I love about it is that the fabric would also make a beautiful sofa cushion!
I love the asymmetrical cut and detailing of this next dress from Karamea. The wide belt is stunning and who can resist citron melon tights for a bit of fun!!
Now let’s get into some fabu-lish fashion accessories!!! Who doesn’t love hats. I couldn’t resist trying one on….totally felt like the feminine version of Johnny Depp (hat from Retro G Couture) a-la the Mad Hatter!! Dandy!!!
