Glamour Fridays
Glamour Friday: Outdoor Oasis
It’s crummy weather today where I live and it’s kind of depressing. Freezing rain is not quite what I imagined for mid April weather. No wonder I’m vitamin D deficient right now! I’ve been daydreaming of warm weather and being outside in the sun so when I pinned this picture on Pinterest I had to share.
Everything about this image screams outdoor entertaining and outdoor living. I love the mint green cushions with a dash of orange as the accent. The organic feel of the tree stump side tables doesn’t make this area too precious or perfect.
Yup, I’ll be daydreaming about this outdoor oasis all day today…….what about you?
Have a fabulous weekend!

Glamour Friday: 7 things I love about this Beach Inspired Dining Room
When I look at this beach inspired dining room, I feel happy and serene. All the different variations of blue make me think of the beach which is exactly where I want to be right now.

Here are the 7 things I love about this dining room designed by Mabley Handler.
1. The fabulous chevron-y like fabric on the drapery & chairs by Jonathan Adler for Kravet. (Pattern: Wabash, Color: Aquamarine)
2. The Juicy Jute Grasscloth Wallpaper in Blueberry from Phillip Jeffries.

3. The Madeline Weinrib: Haveli Cotton Flatweave Rug in Turquoise. I have always loved her rugs and this one totally grounds the space.

4. This absolutely stunning linen drum shade light fixture embellished with silver nailheads and Swarovski crystals. It was designed by Michelle Hatch New York, and Chad Jacobs of Bone Simple Design.

5. Love, love, love the Dunes & Duchess 4-arm Candelabra.

6. I am currently obsessed with étagères and this one simply takes my breath away. In silver-leaf, it is from Worlds Away.

7. The pacific blue seeded glass table lamp from Rumrunner Home provides additional light on the buffet/bar area. I love how the designers used only one on the buffet versus two. I’m a big fan of symmetry but in this case one lamp works.

I thought I would keep my list to seven, but I also love the coffered ceilings and all the tabletop dishware. Do you love this beach inspired dining room as much as I do? What are some of the top decor items or furnishings that you would add to this list? Click on leave a comment and tell me what you think!!

Glamour Friday: Offices of Ana Antunes
I just discovered a fabulously glamorous new blog through pinning madly away on Pinterest. The blog is called Home Styling and is written by Ana Antunes AND she is from Portugal….so naturally I was drawn to her as I am also Portuguese.
She runs a production company with her husband and is the Host of a Decorating Show in Portugal. I fell in love with the pictures of her office on her website and had to share them with you.
Below is the reception and waiting area. Love the black and white colour scheme….so chic and glam!

The next image is of her office. It is stunning. I’m a sucker for a good looking office with lots of glamour, especially since I am currently wanting to switch mine up.

Don’t you love the pink & white striped walls?

This is where her assistants work:
And the showroom. My goal is to have a similar looking showroom in the next 12 months.
All in all I think Ana’s office is a definite Glam Slam in my opinion. It’s fresh, with clean lines and very chic!!! What do you think?
Next week I have some exciting news to share with you!! Stay tuned. Have a fabulous weekend!

Glamour Friday: Aerin Lauder’s Glamorous Office
I remember completing a business paper on Estee Lauder when I was in New York getting my MBA. I was fascinated with the Lauder family, especially Aerin Lauder as she was a few years older than me and working in the family business.
When she announced last year she was leaving the family business to set up her own Home and Fashion lifestyle company appropriately called “Aerin” I was excited.
This women just oozes style and class, so I was eager to get a glimpse into her new Manhattan office. All I have to say is - very chic and very glam!!
All images from Architectural Digest unless otherwise specified

I love how her offices look like a really comfortable living. Also love the fabric on the green-blue velvet sofa.

I am currently obsessed with gold. Absolutely adore this conference table with the mirrored table and gold leaf chairs and long sideboard. This is how Aerin describes her conference room:
The mirrored dining table is by Karl Springer from the 1950s. Paired with the gold André Arbus sideboard, the pieces bring a little glamour to the conference room.

I begin hyperventilating every time I look at this gold étagère!! So badly want this for my living room or office!!!

This gorgeous, elaborate mirror belonged to her famous grandmother.

She really is so pretty and I absolutely love her style. What do you think of Aerin’s new offices. A glam slam or over the top?
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Christine xoxo

Why sleep on the hard ground in a sleeping bag when you can bring your own above ground bed!! Now that’s the way to do it!! I know I have!

My family and I don’t tent camp anymore. We have graduated to our 3rd camper since we started glamping 10 years ago. If you have seen the inside of a camper then you know that the decor is pretty bland & beige. My June/July project is updating the decor of our new 37 ft. camper…so stay tuned for a future blog post about this. In the meantime, below are some absolutely fabulous campers that have been revamped inside!! How glam!!

Love this girly feminine vintage camper….and take a look at the inside!!

And just a few more to whet your appetite for glamping with style in a camper!!

I have more glamorous pictures of Glamping in style on my Pinterest board called “Glamping in the Outdoors” Check it out here! And then follow me on Pinterest here!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Glamour Friday: Purple Passion
I love anything purple and when I saw this stunning purple bedroom designed by Annsley McAleer of Annsley Interiors, I was instantly hooked!
Everything about this room is a Glam Slam! From the floral headboard, to its curvy sexy shape and the solid purple banding that give it that extra oomph!! Love the fabric of the long bolster cushion with the hits of gold and orange. And the beautiful gold-leaf chandelier is the perfect finishing touch….like long dangly earrings accessorizing the perfect outfit.
The ever-popular x-bench is a staple everyone should have in their home. The rich details of the gold mirror above bring out the gold and orange in the fabric. By painting the legs purple this traditional looking bench now has a glamorous edge to it. I think it is absolutely perfect!
And then…..these chairs…Oh la la!!! I think I’ve died and gone to heaven! I’ve been trying to find out the name of this style of chair so if you know what this chair is called please let me know. Are they not stunning or what? The purple stripe detailing and piping give it that glam chic look I love!! And any mirrored furniture is definitely a friend of mine!
So what do you think? Are you in love with this bedroom as much as I am? Would you have these chairs in your home? I know I would!!
If you are looking to glamorize your bedroom with some purple touches, then send me a message through email, Facebook or Twitter! I would love to help!

Glamour Friday: Jamie Herzlinger
In the latest issue of Dabble Magazine, a gorgeous Arizona home designed by one of my favourite interior designers, Jamie Herzlinger is featured. And because it is so glamorous, I thought it would be perfect for a Glamour Friday post.
This stunning 19th century Dutch corbeille shaped canapé greets visitors when they walk into this 7000 sq. ft. home.
I love this very glamorous foyer with neutral grass cloth covered walls, the fabulous marquetry commode and the stunning mirror above it make for a GLAM SLAM!
This living room is so glamorous with all the sumptuous velvets and silks in this room. And you can never go wrong with decorating in unforgettable plums and purples mixed in with neutral greys. Oh so very elegant!! Love it!
The master bedroom is very calm and serene decorated in a neutral palette mixed with lots of whites. I guess the lesson here is that it’s ok to put the bed against a wall of windows when it’s the only way to ensure that the bed remains the focal point of the room.
This sitting area goes extra glam with nail head detail on the chair and ottoman, a large mirror and lots of gold and brass accents.
This home designed by Jamie Herzlinger is truly a luxe retreat!
If you want to create a glamorous space in your home for 2012, then contact me online or via twitter…I’d love to help!
