Glamour Friday: Purple Passion
I love anything purple and when I saw this stunning purple bedroom designed by Annsley McAleer of Annsley Interiors, I was instantly hooked!
Everything about this room is a Glam Slam! From the floral headboard, to its curvy sexy shape and the solid purple banding that give it that extra oomph!! Love the fabric of the long bolster cushion with the hits of gold and orange. And the beautiful gold-leaf chandelier is the perfect finishing touch….like long dangly earrings accessorizing the perfect outfit.
The ever-popular x-bench is a staple everyone should have in their home. The rich details of the gold mirror above bring out the gold and orange in the fabric. By painting the legs purple this traditional looking bench now has a glamorous edge to it. I think it is absolutely perfect!
And then…..these chairs…Oh la la!!! I think I’ve died and gone to heaven! I’ve been trying to find out the name of this style of chair so if you know what this chair is called please let me know. Are they not stunning or what? The purple stripe detailing and piping give it that glam chic look I love!! And any mirrored furniture is definitely a friend of mine!
So what do you think? Are you in love with this bedroom as much as I am? Would you have these chairs in your home? I know I would!!
If you are looking to glamorize your bedroom with some purple touches, then send me a message through email, Facebook or Twitter! I would love to help!

Lee Ann’s Kitchen Reno: Part 2 — The Design
Well, it’s time for another update on Lee Ann’s 80’s kitchen reno. If you missed seeing what it looks like than click here for the recap.
Here’s a list of the priorities for Lee Ann’s kitchen:
While creating the design I had to keep these priorities in mind. So here is the design plan I created that Lee Ann approved!! Since the kitchen is small we couldn’t really change the footprint of the space so placement of appliances were staying put. However we did centre the stove in between 2 pot drawers that Lee Ann badly needed.
I also added in a full height pantry for extra storage, a chef’s desk and a small bar area with wine fridge and glass enclosed cupboards for wine glasses, etc. By utilizing the eat-in area, I was able to provide Lee Ann with lots more storage and a wonderful area where she can check her email or pay bills.
Below are some 3D and elevation drawings (supplied by my kitchen cabinet supplier) for you to get a better perspective of what the kitchen will look like after the renovation!! I’m so excited!!
Things are in full swing now. Stay tuned for my next posting where I will share with you all the materials chosen for Lee Ann’s kitchen.

Interior designer Kelly Wearstler debuts Fall fashion line
I love blogging about how fashion influences interior design and decor….and if you have been on my website than you know one of my decor philosophies is the following:
“Decorate as you dress.” Buy great, timeless pieces that have longevity and accessorize with less expensive items! Make this your design motto and you will be successful.
So imagine my surprise and utter delight upon discovering that one of the most glamorous interior designers ever, Kelly Wearstler is launching her own clothing line – coming fall 2011!!
Here’s a sneak peak:

The clothes are much like Wearstler’s interiors: elaborate, colourful, playful and – of course – glamorous.
The collection will feature clothes, jewellery and accessories and will range in price from $200 to $1,300. Have a look. Her Fall 2011 ready to wear collection will be sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, according to WWD.

A total Glam Slam!!! Kelly has also started a new blog called My Vibe My Life. You should check it out if you are a fan of hers.
If your home is craving some Kelly glamour, then contact me online or in person! I’d love to help!

Glamour Friday: Master Bedroom by Windsor Smith
This master bedroom was designed by Interior Designer Windsor Smith for a ShowHome in Beverley Hills, the historic Greystone Mansion sponsored by Veranda Magazine in 2008.

Show House Photo by Peter Vitale
I love everything about this bedroom. It’s opulent looking but still very simple with its neutral colour scheme.. The legs on the bed make me swoon!! It’s Zebra print….hard to tell but it is!!
I’m not a huge fan of four poster beds but this ones makes me crave lazy Sunday mornings enjoying an elaborate breakfast for two in bed. And who doesn’t need a zebra bench….everyone should have at least one zebra print bench in their home. Zebra = a GLAM SLAM
Ironically enough, Windsor Smith loved this bed and fabric so much, she designed it for her own bedroom. The room below is from her L.A. home featured in House Beautiful Magazine.
This is how she described her vision: “The canopy bed covered in embroidered satin from Bergamo Fabrics creates the perfect “little jewel box” in the master bedroom.”
The Zebra bed as it is called is a Winsor Smith design – and I love it!!
It certainly does feel like a jewel box!!

I’m loving both versions of this glamorous master bedroom!! Are you??

Welcome to Glamour Fridays!!!
My apologies for not posting much this week but I have been crazy busy with a new client and starting work on her kitchen renovation. I’ve also started some new home projects which I will be blogging about for the next few weeks….so I hope you come back often to catch up with what I am working on.
But today I am launching a new series on my Glam blog called “Glamour Fridays.” Each Friday I will post a room or vignette that I think is ultra glamorous. Hopefully theses peeks into glamorous rooms will inspire you to add some glamour into your home also.
Today’s Glamour Friday room comes from House to Home – a feminine lilac bedroom! And you know how much I love purple!!

I love how the bold colour and pattern on the wallpaper and drapery is juxtaposed by calmness of the solid, paler fabrics and accessories. The sleigh bed’s pale fabric is ideal for most colour schemes, so it wouldn’t need to be re-upholstered if the style of the room was changed. Clear Lucite bedside tables make the room seem more spacious and white, curvy lamps add a glamorous feel. However, I could also have imagined mirrored end tables in place of the Lucite tables working in this glamorous bedroom. I think this dreamy bedroom is a GLAM SLAM!
