Hi Everyone,

It’s been a busy last few days so I never got a chance to post anything new and I have so much to share with you via this blog, but all things GLAM will have to wait until I get back from……..SAN FRANCISCO!!!  Yes, I am leaving on a jet plane and heading out to the west coast AND wine country!!  Whoo Hoo!! 

Here is just a sneak peak at some of the things I will be up to for the next week!!

Tuesday

Arrive in San Francisco and head to the Fairmont Heritage Place Hotel, Ghiradelli Square for our first night!!

Wednesday

We pick up our car rental…a Ford Red Mustang — and of course, it has to be a convertible!!

Perfect for driving along the west coast with the wind in my hair!!!    Yup, that will be me and my hubby!!!

Then we are off to Sonoma Valley where we will be staying at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa!!

Isn’t it absolutely gorgeous!!!!

The rest of the afternoon will be spent  touring 3 wineries:

• Ledson Winery for a tasting and lunch
• Chateau St. Jean for a reserve tasting
• Deerfield Ranch Winery for a cave tasting

And the greatest thing ever is that we’ve hired a driver to take us around our chosen wine tours for our 2 day stay in Sonoma/Napa Valley….so the hubby and I can just relax and taste all the wine we want without having to worry about drinking and driving!!! 

We get back to the Inn around 3:30 because then we have a Couples Wine and Roses Spa package booked for 4:30 pm!!  A perfect way to end a day of hectic wine tasting….with more wine, wine and wine….oh and of course dinner later!!!

Thursday

Today is a jam-packed day full of wine tours.  Here are the wineries we will be visiting:

• 10:00am: Pickup @ The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn
• 10:45am: Rubicon Estate ..walk–in—self guided tasting/tour (this winery is owned by Francis Ford Coppola!)
• 12:30: Quintessa Tour and Tasting..appointment
• 2:15pm: Taylor’s Refresher..AHI Burger!!
• 3:00pm: Sterling..cable car to the tasting room…walk–in
• 4:15pm: Beringer ……walk-in
• 5:15pm: Peju…walk-in
• 6:30pm: The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn

Ok….I’m exhausted just looking at this list….and feeling just a tad tipsy!!!  Are you? 

Friday

We head back into San Francisco and check into the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel!

And then the rest of the day will be spent shopping!!!  Can’t wait!!!!

Saturday

Today will be a full day of sight-seeing.  We will be doing an Alcatraz / San Francisco city Tour….so this day should be alot of fun!!!

Alcatraz Island is a 25-acre island located just 1 1/4-miles from San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Alcatraz is best known as the infamous and notorious former federal prison – home to the likes of Al Capone, George “Machine Gun” Kelley, and Robert “The Birdman” Stroud. From 1933 to 1963, the Federal Bureau of Prisons used the facility as a maximum security prison. It was closed in 1963 due to its expense. Today Alcatraz swarms with tourists — about a million a year.

Here are some of the sights we will enjoy during our 3 1/2 hour tour of San Francisco City:

Fisherman’s Wharf, The Marina District, San Francisco Bay, Palace of Fine Arts, Presidio National Park, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, Cliff House, Ocean Beach and Pacific Ocean, Chinatown, Italian North Beach, Victorian Homes (Painted Ladies), Cable Cars, Nob Hill, Civic Center, City Hall, Opera House, Financial District, Union Square, Coit Tower, Bay Bridge, Twin Peaks, and Ghirardelli Square.

Ok…my feet are already hurting just thinking about this full day.  Think I need a glass of wine!!

Sunday

This day will hopefully be a bit more relaxing!!  We will be heading to the first-ever ELLE DECOR Showhouse—a spectacularly renovated 4,500-square-foot home in the historic St. Francis neighborhood— which promises to be a GLAM sensation. This house was created in partnership with the Junior League of San Francisco.

Then we will take a drive up the coast and be spontaneous the remainder of the day!!

Monday

We check out and sadly leave the beautiful city of San Francisco.  But I know by this day I will by dying to see my 2 little glamour girls back in Canada!!!

Anyway, I will be blogging daily starting next Tuesday about my trip to San Francisco with ALOT more detail.  Hope you are looking forward to it as much as I am looking forward to getting on that jet plane tonight!!
